 Mike entered the Life Insurance Business in 1981 serving in the capacity as agent or broker with a number of national life insurance carriers.  He obtained the NASD Series 6 & 63 Securities designations in 1986 allowing for the sales of mutual funds, variable annuities, and variable life.  Mike has served as Field Representative with The Guardian Life Insurance Company since 1999 and obtained the NASD Series 7 & 65 designations in 2000 allowing for the solicitation of fee based investment accounts under Park Avenue Securities Registered Investment Advisory.

Personal
Mike and his wife, Elaine, reside on 58 acres 11 miles west of Brenham.  They have 2 sons Wade and Brent.  Mike and his wife are both members of the Wesley Brethren Church near Brenham, Mike currently serves as the congregational President and member of the Board of Elders.  Mike’s hobbies include gardening, tending to his wine vineyard, wine making, and spending time with his family.  Also during the Fall he organizes a tailgating group at all of the Texas A&M home football games.
