Professional Experience
Kitty launched her career in the insurance industry in 1982. In 1986, she concentrated her efforts as a specialist in the Disability Insurance marketplace, ultimately representing four of the top ranked companies in disability sale-UNUM, Paul Revere/Provident Companies, and The Guardian-Berkshire Life Insurance Company of America. She has been actively involved in the education and sales training of new agents through the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTC) where she conducts disability insurance training seminars. Introduced at last year’s ADM, the 2005 Circle of Excellence recognizes long-standing and time-tested DI achievement, among both Disability Income Specialists and producers. To be inducted, a DIS needs to have qualified for Leaders Club a minimum of 10 times, while a producer needs to have qualified for the DI Inner Circle a minimum of five times, have 500 DI policies in force and an actual-to-expected loss ratio better than the company standard.

Kitty is a former President of the Houston Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors(HAIFA), and the HAIFA Foundation. For ten consecutive years she has qualified for Guardian’s Leaders Club, and Berkshire’s Advance Disability Meeting for five consecutive years. She was honored by Berkshire Life as the “Veteran Disability Income Specialist” for 2003, and inducted into their 2005 Circle of Excellence, which recognizes long-standing and time-tested DI achievement. She is also a member of the Texas Legislation Political Action Committee’s Century Club and the International DI Society.

Kitty was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Houston in 1982. Kitty has been married for 36 years and has 5 daughters and 11 grandchildren.
